Sanak – Hope Under Siege: Vidyut Jammwal's Action Thriller To Stream On Disney+ Hotstar From 15 October
The film also stars Bengali actress Rukmini Maitra, Neha Dhupia and Chandan Roy Sanyal among others.
The makers of Sanak, on September 29, released a new poster and also announced the release date of the film. In the poster, Vidyut is seen holding a baby in one hand and a gun in another. He seems to be standing in a hospital. Sharing the poster, Vidyut wrote, "Ek baar SANAK gayi na toh... Directed by Kanishk Varma, Sanak will be released on October 15 which falls on Dushera. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of the actress Rukmini Maitra, who enjoys huge popularity in the Bengali Film industry. ‘Sanak - Hope Under Siege’ is presented by Zee Studios in association with Sunshine Pictures Pvt Ltd.
Vidyut Jammwal's Sanak is an action thriller with an emotional journey. "It is a hostage drama, a genre that has not been explored to its full potential. It would be interesting to see all the action and drama unfold in a hospital under a siege," said producer Vipul Shah in a statement. Sharing the excitement he added, "I am very excited to share this date and looking forward to the film releasing on Disney+ Hotstar. Hopefully, we will get lots of love from the audience."
Meanwhile, Vidyut is busy shooting for his next film Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2. The film is a sequel to his 2020 film by the same name. Directed by Faruk Kabir the film will also feature Shivaleeka Oberoi.
